After you claim the Spring Event 2026 prize, a brand-new activity opens up at the pond: raising Ducklings. You place food in a bowl, a Mother Duck lays eggs, they hatch into 5 fluffy Ducklings, you feed them as they grow, and when they’re all grown up they fly away together, then leave you a reward. Then the bowl goes quiet for a while, and when the cooldown is up you can do it all again.
1. Claim your Spring Event prize
Claiming the Spring Event 2026 prize does three things for you:
- Gives you some Duck Feed.
- Places the Duckling Bowl on your farm next to the pond.
- If you don’t own a Duck yet, it asks you to place one on the pond. (If you already have Ducks, it just unlocks the feature.)
2. Find the bowl
The Duckling Bowl is the one click spot that drives the whole activity. Hover it to see what’s going on right now; click it to do whatever the current step needs.

Each step has its own hover message on the bowl, so you always know what to do next.
Step by step
Step 1 β Place the feed
When the bowl is empty and the cooldown is finished, hover it and you’ll see “Click to place Duckling feed”. Click it to drop 1 Γ Duck Feed into the bowl. A mother Duck walks over to the nest and gets ready.
If the cooldown is still running, the tooltip shows “Next Duckling cycle in ⦔ instead. Come back when the timer is up.
Step 2 β Eggs are laid
The mother settles on the nest and starts laying. Eggs pop in one at a time until all 5 are visible. The tooltip reads “Laying eggs (N/5)” with a countdown to the next egg.
Step 3 β Incubating
Once the clutch is complete, the mother sits and keeps the eggs warm. The tooltip shows “Ducklings hatch in HH:MM:SS”.
- Feather-feeding ducks (the 3-hour flow) still works during Incubating. Your Mother Duck briefly leaves the nest to join in, then walks right back to her eggs. No time is lost β the hatch timer keeps ticking.
- Fox scares still happen during Incubating. The mother flies up with the flock, lands safely, and returns to the nest.
Want to skip the wait?
Hover the bowl (or the sitting Duck) during Laying or Incubating and a Skip button appears.
- First skip per save = free. Good to speed-run your very first cycle so you learn the flow.
- Every skip after that costs Ranch Cash.
Step 4 β Hatching
When the timer hits zero the eggs hatch and 5 Ducklings appear at the nest. The mother stands up and leads them toward the pond in a cute little line. Tooltip: “Ducklings hatching⦔
Step 5 β Growing
The Ducklings swim and waddle near their mum. This is where you feed them to help them grow.
- Click the bowl up to 5 times per cycle to drop feed into it.
- The mother and her Ducklings walk to the bowl and eat together.
- Each feed:
- Bumps every Duckling’s size up a bit.
- Grants you a small XP reward (shown as a floating “+N XP”).
- Uses 1 Γ Duck Feed from your inventory.
- There is a short cooldown between feeds β the tooltip shows “Next feed in MM:SS” while it’s still rolling.
- The tooltip also tracks your feeds as (used/cap), e.g. “Click to feed Ducklings (2/5)”.
- While the Ducklings are walking to the bowl you’ll see “Ducklings are on their way⦔; while they eat you’ll see “Ducklings are eating⦔. Just wait β the bowl becomes clickable again afterwards.
Important: Feeding is optional. Ducklings will grow on their own over time even if you never feed them. Feeding just makes them bigger and gives you XP.
While the Ducklings are growing
- The feather-feed flow and fox-scares are paused β those come back after the reward is claimed.
- Duck Feed is still needed in the bowl, so keep an eye on your stock.
Step 6 β All grown up
When the growing timer ends, the 5 Ducklings grow into full-size (but slightly smaller than mum) ducks and keep swimming around for a bit. Tooltip: “Grown Ducklings ready to fly away”.
Step 7 β Fly away
After the short linger, the world zooms out and the 5 grown Ducklings circle the farm and fly off into the sky β a little goodbye moment. When the cutscene ends, the reward popup pops up automatically.
Step 8 β Claim your reward
Tooltip on the bowl reads “Collect your reward”. Click Claim in the popup to collect your items. Note: the popup has no close-without-claim option, so you won’t lose the reward by accident.
Step 9 β Cooldown β repeat
After claiming, the bowl enters a cooldown showing “Next Duckling cycle in ⦔. When that timer ends, you can place feed again to start a fresh cycle.
Getting more Duck Feed
You start with a little Duck Feed from the Spring Event prize.
After that, you can make more Nettle & Cornmeal Duck Treat in your Farm Kitchen (recipe: 3 Stinging Nettle + 1 Corn). Keep some on hand so you’re never blocked at “Place feed” or during Growing.
If you haven’t unlocked Stinging Nettles, Joe has to study the Botanical Plates then look for some around your main Farm.

FAQ
1-Duck vs 2-Duck players
The activity works identically whether you own 1 or 2 Mallard Ducks:
- Everyone can run the full Ducklings cycle.
- Only 2-Duck owners have the feather-feed and fox/bacon flow (unchanged from before).
- If the Spring Event gave you your very first Duck, you have 1 Duck β the Duckling cycle is fully yours; the 3-hour feather flow simply isn’t active.
Good to know
- Don’t have a Duck at all? Claim the Spring Event prize and you’ll be prompted to place one free.
Troubleshooting
| You see⦠| What to do |
|---|---|
| Bowl tooltip “Next Duckling cycle in ⦔ | Cooldown from the last claim. Wait it out. |
| “Click to place Duckling feed” but the click does nothing | You may be out of Duck Feed, or the 2-duck feather flow is running β the tooltip switches to “Wait for Ducks to eat”. |
| “Next feed in MM:SS” during Growing | Short cooldown between feeds β the bowl re-enables when it finishes. |
| “Ducklings are growing (5/5)” | You’ve used all your feed placements this cycle. Just wait for them to mature. |
| Popup didn’t open after fly-away | Reload β on login the reward popup reopens if it’s still unclaimed. |
